Abstract:

Goals:
This experiment serves as a no-light control for experiments on 11/16/21 and 11/19/21, to examine the dark loss rates of isoprene diol and ammonium sulfate aerosol in the chamber while filter collection is in progress.

Summary:
The chamber was humidified to ~80% RH; ammonium sulfate was introduced by atomization, and isoprene diol was introduced in both gas and particle phases via atomization and evaporation. Filter collection proceeded for ~6 hours and loss rates of particles and gases were measured during that time.
