Goals:
Find SOA yield for dodecane + Cl under high NOx condition (NO2 injected). Investigate volatility behavior based on 2D thermograms.
Summary:
Ammonium sulfate seed (0.01M, 150 mL) was injected using an aerosol generation system. Cl2 gas and NO2 gas were injected from their cylinders. 90 ug/m^3 of dodecane was injected into a glass bulb and heated clean air was made to flow over it, carrying the volatilized dodecane into the chamber. After ~30 minutes (sufficient mixing time), lights were turned on for 1 hour. 112.8 ug/m^3 of SOA was formed, giving a mass yield of 1.25. This is Experiment #10 in associated publication.
