Abstract:

The operational NCEP Eta 212 grid (40 km) model output is archived in this dataset from April 30, 1995 to December 31, 2012. This is one of the model output archives for GCIP project. In addition to the Model Output Reduced Data Set (MORDS) and Model Output Location Time Series (MOLTS) analyses required by GCIP project, all upper air levels and their analyses, initialization, and forecasts are saved as well. As NCEP replaced NAM Eta model on June 13, 2006, EMC/NCEP has continued making Eta runs which are archived here until the end of 2012.

Starting from January 1, 2013, NCEP's operational NAM (40 km, grid 212) 6-hourly analysis and 3-hourly forecasts up to 60 hours are archived. NCEP uses a version of WRF model for NAM production.

Citation counts are compiled through information provided by publicly-accessible APIs according to the guidelines developed through the https://makedatacount.org/ project. If journals do not provide citation information to these publicly-accessible services, then this citation information will not be included in RDA citation counts. Additionally citations that include dataset DOIs are the only types included in these counts, so legacy citations without DOIs, references found in publication acknowledgements, or references to a related publication that describes a dataset will not be included in these counts.
