The quality code appearing in the data file is based on the utilisation of various criteria used to detect, delete or correct dubious measurements. The seven quality codes are as follows:

Code 1:   visual detection/correction of errors
Code 2:  Code 1 + comparison with climatological mean and standard deviation.
Code 3:  Code 2 + utilisation of simultaneous water samples and/or CTD measurements
Code 4:  Code 1 + utilisation of the pre/post calibration coefficients of the sensors
Code 5:  Code 2 + utilisation of the pre/post calibration coefficients of the sensors
